Welcome to Didasko Media!
Didasko Media Ministries stated mission is to stand with Christ's church in order to battle the swelling tides of atheism, postmodernism, and spiritual deadness in Western culture, while embracing and strengthening the growth of Christianity in the Southern Hemisphere and beyond. We are excited with what the Lord is doing in 2009! Here you will find information on the scope and vision of Didasko Media Ministries.
Our vision is to become a one-stop-shop for resources, publications, and consultation for evangelical Christians. We aim to accomplish this in the following ways:
Through the consolidation of primary sources. Our aim is not to be entirely original, but to cull from the best of Christendom and distill that teaching to make it accessible to everyone. Soon you will begin to see links to good sources. This will be followed by replications and republications of the best resources. Finally, we aim to provide means of obtaining good and hard-to-find materials through a ministry store.
Through the contribution of published sources. We will periodically post original material in the form of articles, essays, and occasionally books. You will be able to track these offerings and our progress/timelines from our blog (see link above).
Through the collaboration of parted sources. Doctrinal disunity is one of the most intimidating barriers to true catholicity of the church of Christ. We consider Christ's High Priestly Prayer of John 17 where he prays, "that they (the disciples) may be one, as we are" both valid and crucial to the expansion of the Gospel and the conversion of lost souls. That the church is not unified tells us that we do not agree on core issues, and that we refuse to agree on comparative trivialities. Both of these are barriers or walls set against the spread of Gospel, which this ministry will seek to tear down. We do not naively expect immediate success, but rather a difficult struggle with frequent pain and hurt. That said, we still consider the work vital and worth the sacrifice. Here the ministry will focus on debate and reconciliation in order to facilitate progress together forward.
We are truly grateful for your interest in this fledgling ministry, and we hope you will take some time to consider what we have said, and what you can contribute to this cause in your community.
